The driving force behind GSE for more than 30 years, having established the civil engineering and groundworks company in 1986 to serve customers in Kent, Essex and the Home Counties, and infrastructure projects such as Gatwick Airport.
Having trained as a QS, it was Darrell’s ambition to grow the business that led to the creation of the plant hire division, and subsequently the setting up of a development arm, creating today’s GSE Group.
While the core business remains a focus on civil engineering, these skills have been put to good use by the development division which has seen the emergence of Waterbrook at Ashford as a key site for growth in Kent.
Darrell’s passion for quality and commitment to Kent has also seen the Group acquire the iconic Hythe Imperial Hotel overlooking the English Channel. Bringing the Group’s construction and project management skills to bear has seen the refurbishment of the 92-bed hotel, and the recent acquisition of the Marquis of Granby at Alkham, a boutique hotel.
Josh has more than 10 years’ experience in the Construction Industry since graduating from Greenwich University.
Having lived and worked around South East Kent for most of his life, Josh’s local knowledge is invaluable to clients and GSE Group alike.
He enjoys welcoming new clients and working with existing ones to progress projects and is excited at the major projects GSE Group has in the pipeline.
David joined GSE in August 2014 as GSE Group Finance Manager and has bought with him a wealth of knowledge and experience which has leant itself seamlessly to his role and development within the company.
He is CIMA qualified (CGMA) since2009 and has worked previously for well-known names such as Nordic RecyclingLtd, Arriva Southern Counties Ltd, Thanet-Press Ltd and Whatman International.

Lauren has 10 years' Marketing experience and has worked within a variety of sectors, including not-for-profit, before joining us here at GSE.
Having successfully completed the CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing Lauren has applied her knowledge and experience to her role to drive GSE through a rebrand and position us as a market leader within our field.
Lauren is looking forward to developing our relationship with our charity partners, Mind and Demelza, and local community as well as continuing to pioneer to take GSE from strength to strength.
