Works include a complete refurbishment of the existing pool area and jacuzzi room along with creating an outside exercise pool and hot tub. This will be complimented by new separate changing rooms for these areas.
As part of these renovations the GSE Group will be including an additional eight new spa treatment rooms for guests to indulge in some well-deserved relaxation time, serviced by separate changing rooms facilities.
For the fitness enthusiasts, the works will create a new state of the art first floor gymnasium with spectacular sea views over the English Channel. To add to this, there will also be new fitness studios allowing you the freedom to participate in the classes that you enjoy and tailor your workout routine. The gymnasium will include separate changing areas.
The new facility will further boast 10additional hotel bedrooms and, for those looking to book the Hythe ImperialHotel as their wedding venue, it will also have a separate pre-wedding bridal preparation suite to ensure that you have the space you need to relax and get ready for your special day.
These works will make the already illustrious Hythe Imperial Hotel a Resort Hotel, offering guests and local residents’ facilities which are unmatched within the area.
The scheme has been designed by Hollaway Architects who have designed a number of award-winning buildings and hotels in Kent. Guy Hollaway has said “We are delighted to have achieved detailed planning approval for what we believe will prove to be a fantastic extension to the Hythe Imperial Hotel, and we look forward to realising this Wellness building for the town and the many visitors to the Imperial.”
Darrell Healey, GSE Chairman, said “This is great news and gives us hope for the hospitality sector at a time when it is needed most. The new spa and leisure facility will further enhance the stay of our guests and will provide an excellent outlet for our guests to work out and unwind”
Nick Gauntlett, Managing Director of the Hythe Imperial Hotel, said “The new spa and leisure facility allows us to expand upon this already beautiful building. The hotel is very much part of the local history and has become an iconic holiday destination and wedding venue for many over the years.
“During these unprecedented times that we are all navigating our way through, this allows us to look forward to the future and as a team we are very excited to see the new addition come to life”
