The driving force behind GSE for more than 30 years, having established the civil engineering and groundworks company in 1986 to serve customers in Kent, Essex and the Home Counties, and infrastructure projects such as Gatwick Airport.
Having trained as a QS, it was Darrell’s ambition to grow the business that led to the creation of the plant hire division, and subsequently the setting up of a development arm, creating today’s GSE Group.
While the core business remains a focus on civil engineering, these skills have been put to good use by the development division which has seen the emergence of Waterbrook at Ashford as a key site for growth in Kent.
Darrell’s passion for quality and commitment to Kent has also seen the Group acquire the iconic Hythe Imperial Hotel overlooking the English Channel. Bringing the Group’s construction and project management skills to bear has seen the refurbishment of the 92-bed hotel, and the recent acquisition of the Marquis of Granby at Alkham, a boutique hotel.
Josh has more than 10 years’ experience in the Construction Industry since graduating from Greenwich University.
Having lived and worked around South East Kent for most of his life, Josh’s local knowledge is invaluable to clients and GSE Group alike.
He enjoys welcoming new clients and working with existing ones to progress projects and is excited at the major projects GSE Group has in the pipeline.
Having worked at the GSE Group owned Marquis of Granby previously, Jess is devoted to the company and hopes to develop her career as a Property Manager with GSE Property Group.
Jess has previous experience with an esteemed estate agency and is currently studying Real Estate at the University of Westminster. She hopes to go on to become a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors gaining vital experience and knowledge within the industry.
She is also looking forward to the chance to lead the property group department with success and is excited for her future within the company.
Luke specialises in Development and Planning, and has worked for both national surveying practices and high-profile development companies.
Having graduated from the University of Reading with an accredited degree in Real Estate, Luke then went on to qualify as a Chartered Surveyor. He is now an esteemed member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Luke’s role at GSE Property includes land acquisition, valuation and viability appraisals, and project management. He also focuses on exit strategies for our schemes covering a wide range of use-classes. His extensive knowledge and understanding of property in the South East is vital to our work in delivering the best solutions to clients.
Luke has a passion for outdoors activities, with a particular fondness for endurance sports and triathlons.
